The Sapphire was called the "Stone of Destiny". It comes in many different colors and different hues of the color blue. Sapphire beads are generally machine cut from large rough stones. Beads are much more dense then cut stones and often more vibrant and opaque in color. It is the birthstone for September.

Sapphire speaks of dignity, loyalty, serenity, faith, purity and wisdom. It is believed to protect you from danger and bless you with courage and strength. The ancients believed the Sapphire guarded against evil and poisoning. Sapphires are used to calm mental strain, strengthen bones and promote a healthy life. They are also believed to stimulate financial rewards.
